About my teaching
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
As a French language lover, I pursued French studies at the university:
🔸I graduated with a master degree in teaching French as a foreign language (Master de Didactique du français langue étrangère) so I am a certified and qualified French teacher.
🔸I also hold a Research master degree in French and comparative literature (Master Recherche en littératures française et comparée), that strengthened and deepened my knowledge of French.
Since 2018, I have taught French in school classrooms, in face-to-face private lessons, and through private online lessons to more than 200 students from all over the world.
WHY I LOVE TEACHING
I am a passionate and dedicated French teacher. I sincerely love helping my students learn more about French language and culture.
Private lessons enable me to know my students better, to focus on their individual needs, and to ensure efficient learning progress.
I believe that learning is much more effective and pleasant when there is a good human relationship. I adore speaking with my students, getting to know about them, their languages and cultures too.
As a teacher, I am very patient, understanding and thoughtful. I really listen, and give my students plenty of place to express themselves. With a lot of encouragement and a supportive attitude, I help them (from full beginners to advanced levels) to speak French as much as possible. I also believe that language mistakes are a natural part of the learning process and that communication is the key. I'm highly attentive to their needs and I make sure the class feels like their safe space.
ABOUT MY LESSONS
❗My courses are for students over the age of 18. ❗
🔸I provide private French online courses on Zoom.
🔸My courses are always tailored depending on your level (I teach to all levels), goals and pace.
🔸My courses combine the practice of oral and writing French.
🔸 I create my own dialogues, grammar lessons and exercises to offer engaging and modern activities.
🔸 We can speak about French literature with pleasure, if you feel like it.
🔸 I like adding some customized activities based on your interests to my program.
📌 I can also give oral conversation classes and help for exams preparation and language tests (DELF, DALF, TCF etc...).
🔸 I can suggest homework to my students, and also linguistic/cultural resources if they are interested. 😉
🔸I always send my students a personalized and detailed lesson in a Google Doc to review after each class.

• PRICES
A single French course costs 45 euros, a package of five courses costs 205 euros, and a package of ten courses costs 400 euros.
• RESCHEDULINGS/CANCELLATIONS
Please note that rescheduling of courses must be done more than 24 hours in advance (contact me by email : leisabelle1808@gmail.com). If the course is cancelled with less than 24 hours notice, it will be charged. As a rule, courses are non-refundable and are only reschedulable. See the detailed terms and conditions (available on the website potaufrench.com)for more information.
• TERMS AND CONDITIONS
By creating one account on PotauFrench.com and by booking one service with Pot Au French - Isabelle, the student fully agrees with the terms and conditions of the website.
• STUDENTS DUTIES
For an effective learning, the student must join the Zoom meeting with their computer and their webcam ON, and not with their phone/tablet. They are also asked to review the course notes after the class. Thank you by advance for your understanding.😊
About me
I'm Isabelle. I'm 29 years old. When I'm not teaching French, I truly enjoy creating educational online content (@potaufrench on Instagram, Youtube, Facebook and Tiktok). Other than that, I'm a calm and curious French woman who is passionate about many things. I love eating and trying new food, listening to music and podcasts, singing, meditating, doing yoga and reading different types of books... like teenage and young adults books, comics and classic French literature! Moreover, I go to the theater and the museum very often. Traveling is also a way for me to better understand the society and the world (while having fun!). In fact, I'm interested in various society topics such as everyday psychology and sociology. More broadly, I value art and culture in all their forms.
I'm also a motivated languages learner.
🔸French is my mother tongue.
🔸 I speak English. By the way, I often tell my students not to be embarrassed by their French as my English is far from being perfect. I have been taking English lessons in order to improve my self-confidence while speaking. So I can truly empathize with my students' experience.
🔸I can speak Vietnamese, though I'm not fluent. I'm still learning it.
🔸 I'm also a (slow) beginner in Mandarin Chinese. Therefore I genuinely understand that learning a foreign language (and getting to know a new culture) can be challenging. But I believe that this process is enriching and enjoyable, and that's exactly what I strive to convey during my lessons.
